Resources for professionals

While this website is primarily aimed at providing information to expectant parents, these are some useful resources aimed at midwives, doctors and healthcare professionals who work in maternity wards.

LabourPains was created to help midwives, doctors and healthcare professionals speak to mothers in a straightforward and accessible way.

We are extremely proud that we can offer this unique resource of translations in more than 30 different languages, so that language does not need to be a barrier to ensuring the highest standards of safety for expectant mothers.

This site is designed to help you, so make sure you have a good look around and spread the word amongst colleagues so that they can use it too.

We are currently updating the below resources, which you'll be able to use in your department, clinics and waiting rooms.

Please check back over the coming weeks for an update.

  • Poster to let your midwifery colleagues know about LabourPains
  • Poster for expectant mums explaining what LabourPains is
  • Poster for purpose of being displayed on a delivery suite/postnatal ward to remind staff about neurological monitoring after an epidural/spinal injection
  • LabourPains stickers for printing
